Samuel Kaplan | profile
Sam is the Upper School Dean of Students and a member of the Upper School History Department. He started working at St. Paul's in the Fall of 2010, and is originally from Katonah, New York. He was a 2005 graduate of John Jay High School, and earned his BA from Bates College in 2009, followed by a Masters of the Arts in Teaching from Loyola University in 2016. Sam is also the Varsity Ice Hockey Head Coach, and an Assistant Coach for Varsity Lacrosse. He is certified by USA Hockey as a Level 5 Coach and is a seasoned leader of canoeing, kayaking and backpacking wilderness trips due to his summer job as a Director at Camp Kieve in Nobleboro, Maine.

Kage Tiller | profile
Kage is a project manager for Honeywell at the FDA campus in White Oak, Maryland. He joined the St. Pauls Hockey coaching staff in 2016, and is from Wayzata, Minnesota. He was a graduate of Wayzata High school in 2012 and from St. Johns University in 2016. Kage is the assistant coach for Varsity Ice Hockey, working with the forwards and Power Play. Kage was a three year Varsity letterman at Wayzata and was recruited to play NCAA D3 hockey at St. John’s, before opting instead to be a double major in finance and economics. He has deep roots in hockey growing up in Minnesota.
Daniel Zimmerman | profile
Dan Zimmerman has immersed himself in Spanish language, literature, and instruction, having taught everyone from beginners to advanced students during his time at the University of Virginia while earning his M.A. and working on his Ph.D. He has roots in our area, having earned a B.A. from Gettysburg College and grown up in Pennsylvania, but his work and volunteering have taken him around the world—from classrooms in Valencia to orphanages in Nicaragua.
