St. Paul's School, founded in 1849, is a college-preparatory day school in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, with a co-ed Lower School and all-boys' Middle and Upper Schools. St. Paul's School invites applications for the position of Upper School English Teacher for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Candidates should have a degree in English or a related field and be able to demonstrate excellent writing and pedagogy. They should also be able to teach a writing-intensive curriculum that encompasses a range of texts from the canonical to the contemporary. Applicants with significant experience in IB, AP, or honors-level courses are preferred.
Student-centered teaching, coaching, and advising are key components of our academically rigorous, individually-focused teaching model; thus, faculty members are expected to participate in the athletic and extra-curricular life of the school as they live our mission.
