Students recognized for commitment to serving others with induction into Service Learning Honor Society
Posted 11/14/2018 11:00AM

Eight Upper School students who have distinguished themselves through their achievements in public service were inducted Nov. 14 into the Service Learning Honor Society. St. Paul's School created the Service Learning Honor Society in honor and memory of Philippe F. Simard '08 and the gifts of service, leadership, and scholarship that he embodied.

Headmaster David Faus complimented the inductees on their collective pursuit of integrity and noted the importance of service learning to our community.

This year, 19 students surpassed the 150 service-learning hours required for nomination to the Society, totaling more than 4,600 hours of service collectively. Nominees were then interviewed by members of the Service Learning Council and voted into the Society.
