Cross Country MIAA Championship, Nov. 9 2018
Posted 11/09/2018 07:00AM

SP XC had their Championship race yesterday at McDaniel College in Westminster. It was perfect weather for a race.

All of SP's runner (whether it be Varsity, JV, or Open race runners) had phenomenal races to end the year, most hitting their fastest 5K time ever!

Ian Coleman was impressive in his last ever high school race, finishing 4th overall in the A conference and being named ALL CONFERENCE in A division! It concluded a week where Ian also broke the SP 1 mile record with a 4:31.

SP's Varsity had 5 strong performances from Ian Coleman, TJ Linz, Marco Grados, Jack Cook, and Ian Heidelbach. The last four guys really had to step up, as we still did not have our #2 or #3 runner. SP finished in 4th place overall out of all 26 MIAA teams. Please congratulate our runners on a great season!
