The St. Paul's Concert Chorale is touring Austira and the Czech Republic during spring break, giving four performances at historic venues in Prague and Vienna. The Chorale embarks on a concert tour every two years with past destinations including England, Germany, Iceland and the U.S. Southwest. The students have a rigorous travel schedule that includes a rich balance of musical and cultural opportunities at every stop.
The St. Paul's Concert Chorale has prepared a large program of works for unaccompanied choir that features repertoire from throughout music history. Performance venues include the Church of Our Lady Victorious and St. Nicholas Church in Prague, Minoritenkirche and St. Stephan's Cathedral in Vienna.
Our singing boys recognize and appreciate the generous efforts of our school community, alumni and beyond in making a performance tour of this caliber possible. Click here for images from the trip.
The Concert Chorale is directed by Mr. John Smedstad, who also conducts the St. Paul's Singers and St. Paul's Chamber Choir, and teaches International Baccalaureate Music and Theory of Knowledge courses.
