Three Students Honored For Selflessness and Service
Posted 12/18/2017 03:00PM

At St. Paul's 2017 Service of Lessons & Carols, three students earned special recognition for their service and character.

Headmaster David C. Faus, alumnus and former Trustee Jon Price '74, and Trustee Emeritus Jim Price '42 presented the Smith Awards to three students who embody the traits of Walter Smith. "These awards celebrate the character traits that Walter Smith demonstrated during his life: selflessness, service, and concern for others," Mr. Faus said.

Each year, the Smith Award is given to a fourth grader, eighth grader, and senior. These students are selected for friendliness to peers and adults; generosity with others, and also with their time and talents; and for demonstrating a charitable vision for those outside the St. Paul's community.

The 2017 Smith Award was presented to:

Blake Holden King, Grade 4
Kyle Edward Marder, Grade 8
David Scott Kelly II, Grade 12
