Upper School Production Winter Auditions November 14
Posted 11/13/2017 02:00PM

This winter, St. Paul's is proud to present Friedrich D├╝rrenmatt's The Visit. The Visit is a consummate, alarming blend of hilarity, horror, and vertigo. The play takes place "somewhere in Central Europe" and tells of an elderly "millionairess" (million-heiress) who, merely on the promise of her millions, swiftly turns a depressed area into a boom town. But the condition attached to her largesse, which the locals learn of only after they are enmeshed, is murder. D├╝rrenmatt has fashioned a macabre and entertaining parable that is a scathing indictment of the power of greed and confronts the perennial questions of honor, loyalty, and community.

This challenging tragicomedy will require strong actors with a proficiency in ensemble work, movement and creativity. We are also seeking musicians to perform in the show. All those auditioning will be asked to perform selections of the play, which will be available prior to auditions (memorization not required). A copy of the script is available upon request.

Auditions: Auditions will be held November 14 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Acting Lab.
Callbacks: Callbacks will occur November 15-16.

We are also seeking musicians to play on and off-stage during the production.

Those interested in acting or instrumental music opportunities should contact Mrs. Kemmerer at for more information and plan to attend the session on Tuesday, November 7.
