News & Announcements

Family and friends of the Class of 2017 gathered on June 10 to celebrate the 2017 Commencement ceremony at St. Paul's School. Following the unveiling of the plaque in the Chapel that bears their names, the 91 members of the St. Paul's Class of 2017 processed to their seats outside Brooklandwood.
Following several years of careful study and due diligence, the Boards of Trustees of St. Paul's School for Girls and St. Paul's School have voted to unify our governance structure effective July 1, 2018. Unification means that one Board, made up of all current trustees from SPS and SPSG, will work for the mutual benefit of all students. This unification will help ensure the continued success of our Schools in a highly competitive and ever-changing independent school landscape.

Head of School Search Update - 9/14/2012
Posted 10/03/2012 01:00AM

September 14th Letter from Head of Search Committee

Dear Members of the St. Paul's Community:

As part of the Headmaster Search Committee’s ongoing commitment to keep you informed about the search for our new Headmaster, I want to provide a very brief update as we enter the final push, the "Selection Phase" of our search process. We were pleased to have a large number of qualified applicants, a testament to St. Paul’s quality and reputation. The Headmaster Search Committee recently selected a group of four exciting semifinalist candidates who will visit our campus over the next two weeks.

During these campus visits, semifinalists will get to know St. Paul’s, and we will get to know them. Candidates will spend time with our St. Paul’s Community, and experience the beauty of our campus. Candidates will meet our students, faculty, parents, alumni, clergy, administration and staff. Our job as the St. Paul's community is to help our candidates know what we already know: St. Paul's is a very special place.

Our finalist candidates will return to St. Paul's for two-day visits during October, and will have the opportunity to meet with still larger groups of the community, including at an open forum to which you will receive an invitation. Remember, the selection of our next Headmaster is our process, and we encourage all members of our community to participate. Our goal is to select our new Headmaster by early November.

As always, your feedback is encouraged and appreciated.

Sincerely,

Louis A. Sarkes, Jr.
Chair, Headmaster Search Committee
