The St. Paul's Green Committee is pleased to announce a week of environmentally-focused activities commencing with the Saturday, April 22, observance of Earth Day. The week's activities will advance the School's commitment to responsible stewardship of our beautiful campus and planet. St. Paul's observance is named "Eaarth Week," calling attention to the claim that Earth has been transformed by human activities into a different planet, one with a potentially unfavorable environment for mankind as well as many other species. The week will be highlighted by the annual presentation of the Catherine L. McAuliffe Environmental Leadership Award, recognizing outstanding contributions by a student, teacher, staff member or group that promotes a more environmentally sustainable campus and planet. The Award was established when Mrs. McAuliffe retired in 2010 to recognize the leadership she demonstrated during her 26 years at the School in advancing a campus-wide commitment to a greener, more environmentally sustainable St. Paul's
