Having battled back from a 9-4 deficit to tie Calvert School 9-9 in the third period before eventually losing 10-9 last week, the middle school hockey team looked to prove themselves Thursday against North Baltimore Hockey Club. In a back and forth game, the score was 0-0 after the first period. Then, St. Paul’s started playing as a team leading to a 10-5 win. Zach Johnson made 22 saves in goal including 9 in the first period to keep St. Paul’s in the game. The offense scored 5 goals in both the second and third periods. Mason Kaplan led the way with 4 goals and an assist. Other scorers: Nicholas Karpovich 2 goals and an assist, Casey Burkom 1 goal and 2 assists, Hayden Hair 1 goal, Ethan Winn 1 goal, Grant Willie 1 goal, Parker Archer 3 assists, Ryan Carroll 1 assist.
