Event Recap:

SP Track & Field opened their season yesterday on a cold windy day at McD taking on all of the B conference schools (Palotti, St. Francis, John Carrol, St. Mary’s, Beth T’Filoh, Severn, Glenelg, St. John’s).

SP took 1st place overall in the meet.

Forbes Arbaugh, in his first ever Track meet, won the Shot Put. Sophomore Sawyer Tyron, came in second in the Discus, in his first track meet as well.

Everette McDuffie won the 110Hurdles and the 300Hurdles.

Ian Coleman won the High Jump and 3200m.

Ian Coleman also broke to SP school records: 2:03 in the 800m, and 10:17 in the 3200m, both held by Phillip Heflin.

Princeton Douglass took 2nd in the 200m, and helped lead the 4x100 team (Everette, Forbes, Kylen, Princeton) to a first place finish.

We had a lot of guys compete in their first ever meet. We made a ton of mistakes. We had some great improvements.
