Math Camps

This summer, St. Paul's will offer four math courses:

Fifth Grade Math (June 23 - July 11 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.)
This course is designed to strengthen a student’s basic computation skills with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions using all operations.

Sixth Grade Math (June 23 - July 11 10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
This course will cover a quick review of basic computation skills. We will then introduce negative integers with all operations, the distributive property, and solving simple equations.

Pre-Algebra (June 23 - July 11 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.)
This course will cover integers, fractions, decimals, and percents with all their operations. In addition, expressions (rules of exponents) and equation solving skills will be included in preparation for Algebra I.

Algebra One (July 23 - July 11 10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)

The course is designed for students who have finished Algebra I and would like to do a solid review before starting Algebra II. We will do a quick review of expressions and equations before covering inequalities. The other main units covered will be linear equations, system of equations, polynomials, and factoring. We will also incorporate the graphing calculator during the appropriate units. Prerequisite for this course is completion of Algebra I.
