High School Support

In 2007, Bridges piloted the Bridges Fellows Program, designed to connect 3 Bridges high school students with paid summer jobs and access to the resources that could turn dreams of college and a career into reality. Since 2007, the program has steadily grown in job partners and opportunities for students.  Much of this is do to the support of Baltimore City's YouthWorks Summer Jobs Program.  In the summer of 2011, Bridges connected 35 high school students with jobs at The Baer School, Blue Water Baltimore, City Hall – Office of the City Council President, Club at Collington Square, DLA Piper, LLP, Downtown Sailing Center, Irvine Nature Center, and The McMechen School.

The slideshow below provides a glimpse into the summer jobs / college prep experience.
