Full-Year Staffing

Bridges has three full-time staff members and one part-time staff member:

Rob Paymer is the full-time Director of Bridges.  He has been with Bridges since 2005. Major responsibilities include: managing existing operations, developing new programs for students and parents, serving as principal of the Elementary and Middle School Summer Institute, coordinating the Weekend Mentoring Program, writing reports, and raising funds.

Sean Foley is the second recipient of the Bridges Public Service Fellowship. This Fellowship, started in 2009, allows Bridges to provide a 1-2 year position to a graduate of the St. Paul’s Schools following college graduation. Major responsibilities include: coordinating and teaching the elementary after school program, co-coordinating the Loyola University Tutoring Partnership, managing the head counselor and volunteer program in the Summer Institute, assisting with all programs and activities, and activity documentation.

Ariel Sklar was hired in the winter of 2011 to manage and grow Bridges’ efforts in support of its high school and college aged students. Ariel’s experience - as a teacher and as a social worker supporting Baltimore City students – is critical to her role. Major responsibilities include: providing year-round mentoring to Bridges high school students, managing the high school summer jobs program, helping students gain acceptance to and financing for right fit colleges, helping students stay in college.

Victoria Brown was hired part-time in 2007 to manage Bridges’ Middle and High School Guidance Efforts and to work with students in need of additional academic support during the school year. Major responsibilities include: managing Bridges’ Middle and High School Guidance efforts, individualized tutoring to students that need it (study skills, organizational skills, writing support, and general academic coaching), and co-coordinating the Loyola University Tutoring Partnership.
