Welcome From Our Chaplain
Greetings from the St. Paul's School Chapel! Our goal is to provide a place for spiritual growth as students and faculty explore their individual journeys of faith in the beautiful setting of our chapel building. Each time we gather, there is an opportunity to reflect and learn while thinking about the challenges of living as a community through our relationship with God and to one another.
The current chapel was built in 1995 after a devastating fire destroyed the former chapel, once located in the Lower School. As an Episcopal school, founded by St. Paul’s Parish in Baltimore, the traditions of identifying ourselves as a faith-based institution have prominently placed the chapel at the center of communal life. Besides being the gathering place for chapel services throughout the week, the sacred space also serves as the venue for weddings and memorial services for many alumni of the School.
The links to the left will help you learn more about how the chapel serves the community of St. Paul's School and how we provide opportunities for the community to serve others by living the faith that encourages us to “give and not to count the cost” – St. Paul's School Prayer.
Please feel free to contact Chaplain Sanford Groff or me should you have any questions.
God’s Peace,
The Reverend Daniel Meck
