The 7th-grade Gold lacrosse squad concluded its season on Thursday with a resounding 10-5 victory over St. Stephen’s of Harford County. The Crusaders again controlled ground balls and face-offs, giving them ample time of possession and looks at the cage. As he did for much of the season, versatile midfielder Jennings Schweizer created transition opportunities and led the scoring parade with four goals. Over the course of the 12-game season, the boys scored 105 goals (averaging 8.75/game) and yielded 45 goals (averaging 3.75/game. The coaches are proud of the boys for these statistics and for their determination and hustle that saw them win a majority of ground balls and face-offs in most of the games. They also swept MIAA rivals Boys Latin, McDonogh and Severn, and split with Loyola.
