Welcome from the Head of External Affairs
Philanthropy has been a cornerstone of St. Paul’s since its founding in 1849 as a parish school for “the maintenance and education of poor boys” in Baltimore City. Behind the leadership of Rev. Dr. William Wyatt, the original twelve subscribers provided the financial foundation for the school we see today. Over the ensuing century and a half, generous alumni, parents, Trustees, and friends have supported the School’s transformation into world-class school with national recognition and global reach.
Our beautiful Brooklandwood campus was a gift from the benevolent society of Old St. Paul’s Church; a series of capital campaigns have transformed the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools and added the Chapel, Ward Center for the Arts, and Middleton Athletic Center to the campus. Gifts to the endowment have provided continuing support for faculty, student programs, and financial aid. And the St. Paul’s Annual Fund is a critical component of the School’s day-to-day operations and program excellence.
I encourage you to learn more about and become part of St. Paul’s incredible legacy of Philanthropy. The links to the left can provide you with an overview of the many ways your generosity can make a difference at St. Paul’s, starting with the Annual Fund.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or a member of the Philanthropy staff. Or, if you are on campus, stop by and visit us on the second floor of Brooklandwood.
Warm Regards,
Kevin Sottak
