Summer Service Trips
As an extension of the Chapel Program and in fulfillment of the US community service requirement, the Service Learning Program at St. Paul’s School provides opportunities for students to learn by engaging in meaningful service with local communities beyond their familiarity. Students are encouraged to deploy academic and life skills to solve real-world issues, linking established learning objectives with genuine needs. Service Learning Trips immerse students into a community constituted of peers and strangers with the expectations that close individual relationships will be formed while simultaneously stressing the value of communal life.
Upper School Eastern Shore Trip FULL

Middle School Western Maryland Trip
In late June the Middle School Service Learning Trip will offer an opportunity for students currently in the 5th, 6th and 7th grades to travel to the Western Maryland town of Lonaconing, located in Allegheny County. With St. Peter’s Episcopal Church providing accommodations, students will spend time working at the home of a low income resident of the community. The tasks with which they will be involved are painting, light carpentry work, and basic yard and garden care. During the late afternoons or early evenings the group will explore Dan’s Mountain. The State Park’s beautiful surroundings provide a nice respite with opportunities for swimming, hiking, and other outdoor activities after a hard days work.
