Our kindergarten program is designed to develop each child academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. The full-day program features many different programmatic pieces, including: foreign language, science, music, art, library, computers, dance and movement, physical education, and renewal time. Kindergarten students also have fourth grade “Big Buddies” and attend Chapel.  The Tab;e Top and Extended School Program (ESP) are also be available to kindergarten students.

Language Arts in kindergarten includes daily work in phonics, guided reading instruction, and writing.  The math program utilizes a manipulative-based, problem-solving approach.  Kindergarten students are exposed to an environment rich with learning opportunities throughout the school day.

The classrooms feature space for large and small group activities, quiet reading corners, and lots of space for hands-on exploration. The classroom design also gives teachers the ability to mix classes for special activities, including cooking. Outside the classroom, a special playground has been developed for the sole use by our kindergarten students. The playground includes climbing equipment, sand and water play and equipment to encourage imaginary play.

Kindergarten is now be the primary entry point for St. Paul’s. Pre-first is a developmental year for those students who would benefit from one more year prior to entering first grade.

Overview

St. Paul's School is about opportunity. Opportunity for our students to grow academically and socially. Opportunity for them to play sports and make music. And opportunity for them to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.

St. Paul's Lower School is co-ed, while the Middle and Upper Schools are all-boys.

Our job in the admissions office is to help prospective students and their families learn more about what St. Paul's has to offer. To do that, we invite you to ask questions, visit the School, and take a tour of our web site.

Please let us know what we can do to make you feel welcome!
